House Church Clarksville

Core beliefs

These are the convictions we share in Clarksville, Palmyra, Erin, Dover, and Cumberland City. We love the Scriptures, we let them lead us, and we are happy to open them with you. We gather Sundays at 11 a.m.

  1. 1

We believe the Bible — both Testaments — is God’s inspired Word and our final authority for faith and practice.

  2. 2

There is only one true God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  3. 3

Jesus Christ is fully divine. He was born of a virgin, died on the cross to forgive sins through His blood, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to heaven. Jesus is not merely a path to God but the only way we can be saved, made right with God, transformed, and glorified.

  4. 4

We believe in being baptized by the Holy Spirit — evidenced by speaking in tongues — as described in Acts. This experience happens after becoming a believer and is received through faith alone.

  5. 5

All who repent and place their trust in Jesus as Lord are born again into new life.

  6. 6

Because of Christ’s work on the cross, physical healing for humanity was purchased at Calvary.

  7. 7

We believe in both justice and mercy: all people will be raised from the dead — the righteous to eternal life with God, others facing His judgment.

  8. 8

Jesus Christ will return visibly and physically to earth again.

  9. 9

The universal church consists of everyone who has been saved through faith in Christ. We value fellowship within a local gathering of believers.

  10. 10

Spiritual gifts are given by God today for building up believers and serving one another’s good.
