Disciple making, and leaders who train leaders
Jesus did not say, “Go and hold services.” He said to make disciples. A disciple is not a graduate. A disciple is someone who can help another person follow Jesus.
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
Personal growth is not a side hobby
Multiplication fails when people only attend. It works when someone is actually changing: learning to pray, to open the Bible with a friend, to confess sin, to share the gospel, and to open a home or a corner of a park. We would rather walk slowly with a few people in Clarksville than collect a crowd that cannot reproduce.
None of the first disciples had ministry degrees. The council noticed they had been with Jesus. That is still the qualification that matters in Palmyra, Erin, Dover, and Cumberland City. Ordinary believers, trained by someone a half-step ahead, become the next trainers.
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
What the Scriptures say we do together
The mission of this network is multiplication: house churches that birth house churches, and leaders who refuse to be the only leader. If you want to help another person follow Jesus, come and learn that with us.
And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
