House Church Clarksville

Prayer is foundational

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: and if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
1 John 5:14–15
Hands folded on an open Bible

Jesus taught His disciples to ask, and He said they would receive. When the early church was threatened, they did not come up with a better plan. They prayed together. God shook the place where they were meeting. They were filled with the Holy Ghost again, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. We want that same dependence on the Lord through prayer in Clarksville, Palmyra, Erin, Dover, and Cumberland City.

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Luke 11:9–10
And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
Acts 4:31

Alone, and with one another

God is not holding back. He is a good Father, and in Jesus He has already given us everything we need for life and godliness. Prayer is not how we talk Him into helping. It is how we receive what He has already provided. When you pray, believe you receive. Do not wait until you feel something. Thank Him, and say what the Word says. If you are sick, call for prayer and stand in faith. If you have missed it, confess it to one another and pray. He hears, and He answers.

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Mark 11:24
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
James 5:15
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Matthew 6:6
Pray without ceasing.
1 Thessalonians 5:17
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
Ephesians 6:18
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
James 5:16

What prayer looks like when we gather

When we gather, we pray for real needs, out loud, right then. Someone is sick, someone is under pressure, someone needs courage to obey. We often lay a hand on a shoulder. We pray in the Spirit when He gives it. We always pray in the name of Jesus. We stand in faith together. He hears, and He answers. If you need prayer before you ever visit RichEllen Park, use the contact page or the deliverance request.
